ON GUARD BLEND

FAQ – “What can I do about heat rash?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – Keeping the area clean and dry is the most important thing. Using the ON GUARD BLEND Hand Soap works well or even just a damp Microfiber cloth to help remove any bacteria before applying Essential Oils.

Depending on what is causing the heat rash, different Essential Oils may work better. Lavender is always an option, as is Roman Chamomile. Putting it with some Colloidal Silver in a spray bottle is a great idea to address any bacterial skin problems. Other options to try are Juniper Berry (for detoxing), Spikenard (for sensitization reactions), or Helichrysum (overall skin support.)

FAQ – “Is there a spray recipe that we can use to clean and sanitize our dog’s paws after walking? I usually just wash them when we’re home but would love to have a spray when we’re travelling.”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – Using ON GUARD BLEND hand sanitizer can help with sanitizing paws as well. And here’s an easy DIY recipe you can try:

PAW SANITIZER SPRAY RECIPE

• 1 tbsp. Aloe Vera Juice

• 5 drops ON GUARD BLEND

• Water

In a 2 oz. glass spray bottle, combine Aloe Vera Juice and ON GUARD BLEND. Fill the rest of bottle with water. Shake until combined. To use, spray on paws. Wipe off with a damp cloth or Norwex Pet Mitt.

FAQ – “I have one very skinny chicken that I'm worried about. The others are not that skinny. Should I assume parasites and use that protocol? Or are there other supportive things I can do for her? I have not wormed the flock before.”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to assume anything, but my general healthy chicken protocol is to add ON GUARD BLEND and Oregano Essential Oil to their feed, which takes care of parasites as well as potential bacterial or viral causes. Ensure she is not spending too much energy on unnecessary things and spritz her feathers with a Wild Orange Feather mist. Here’s a recipe for that:

WILD ORANGE FEATHER MIST RECIPE

• 4–5 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil

• Water

Combine in 2 oz. spray bottle and shake before each use.

FAQ – “What about canine oral health support?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – Myrrh Essential Oil is excellent for oral health. I recommend using a drop of Myrrh Essential Oil and a drop of ON GUARD BLEND orally in a syringe mixed with Chicken broth or something yummy.
