STEP 13 – GROUNDING BLEND RECIPES AND FAQ

broken image

FAQ – “Any suggestions for aggressive or playful cats?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – The first Essential Oil to try is the GROUNDING -

BALANCE BLEND. It is already diluted, so start with one to two drops applied topically along the spine once or twice daily. Diffuse Calming Essential Oils such as Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood, or the Lavender Peace Blend.

FAQ – “How can I help my Unsure Show Horse?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – Apply BALANCE BLEND prior to an event for your nervous horse. You can apply over the poll or even just on the bridle as a natural diffuser; or put the oil on your hands and let them smell before you get on. Often, using just over the poll and in front of the saddle (midline) is sufficient, but you can also roll it from croup to tail (or pet it, either way); even putting on the coronet bands prior to riding is effective, or ear tipping. There are lots of options!

FAQ – “What should I do to deal with my quarreling cat siblings?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – If they are true siblings, it is difficult to deal with dominance issues. It’s never a good idea to keep sibling cats or dogs (if you can avoid it) because of these ongoing issues throughout their life.

Having said that, BALANCE BLEND and Peace Blend are both good solutions diffused, as are Lavender, Myrrh, or Copaiba Essential Oils. Topically, BALANCE BLEND is a great choice because it is already diluted, so just one drop of a 1:1 dilution is usually sufficient.

FAQ – “I’m dealing with Kitty Separation Issues. Any suggestions?”

ANSWER FROM DR. ROARK – The BALANCE BLEND and Lavender Essential Oil are very helpful for stress and anxious feelings related to separation. Often aromatic use is sufficient in these cases.
